People turn toward therapy for a variety of reasons. The need can come at any time in life but often the sense of not being able to move forward or change on their own prompts the search for a therapist. For some it is the experience of depression, anxiety, bereavement, PTSD, or low self-esteem. For others it may be work-related issues, anger management, relationship problems or using a substance to cope that requires help.
The experience of being stuck or trapped in any of these is often the result of patterns of behaviour that although once necessary now cause problems. Clarification of these patterns brings understanding and this is where a therapist can help regain a sense of independence, vitality or movement again.
